Remittance

Remittance is made when conversion of currency is involved. It is made as per the prevailing rate on the date of transmission. Conversion is made at the paying center at the rate on the date of payment. Swift code Bank of India provides remittances through demand drafts, ordinary mail transfer (in that case the beneficiary should have an account with the Bank of India), express mail transfer and wire transfer.
Remittances are made in:
• INR, USD, GBP, EURO, JPY etc.
• Charges for rupee demand draft to be accounted with the bank branches are nil.
• Charges for demand draft to any other bank account are USD 10.00
• Charges for demand draft in any other currencies are USD 20.00
